With the increasing depletion of fossil fules worldwide
at this point
the proposal of the
dual carbon
goals has made the development of such renewable energy industries as wind power even more significant. In recent years
the grid-connected generation capacity of wind power has been continuously increasing
but the volatility and intermittency of wind power output pose significant challenges to grid stability
power quality and wind energy utilization efficiency. Energy storage system is a crucial infrastructure for grid regulation and wind power curtailment miigation
in which electromechanical energy storage technology is used widely in wind farm due to its high capacity
fast response and strong suitability. In this paper
the development and suitability of trditional batteries in the wind power energy stoage is systemically reviewed. The application status of typical wind farm energy storage system both at home and abroad is analyzed. The key bottlenecks faced by various types of batteries are analyzed
and its development direction and trend in the future are expected. On thoses basis and in combination with operation characteristic of wind fram
both technical feasibility and development trend of emerging energy storage technology are discussed
which provide technical approaches for the constructing highly efficient and stable wind power energy storage system and promoting achievement of
