Abstract

This paper introduces mainly the issues related to the design and manufacture of the capacitors used in China-Russia Heihe back-to-back HVDC project.Such aspects as selection of electric field strength

control of capacitance and improvement of partial discharge performance at low temperature in accordance with requirement of technical specification of the user as well as improvement of manufacturing process for achieving the design are described in detail.
