Study on the Effect of Temperature on Self-healing Properties of Metallized Film Under AC Voltage
Application of metallized film capacitor with self-healing capacity to power system can reduce accidents and improve safety and reliability. On this basis
the main difficulties needing to overcome is the complete breakdown due to self-healing failure and capacitance loss caused by metal layer evaporation in the self-healing process. Both of them are more related to the self-healing properties of metallized film.Power capacitor operating under AC voltage condition
compared to the pulse capacitor operating under DC voltage
possesses higher operation temperature.Therefore
it is necessary to study the self-healing characteristics of metallized film at different temperatures.Self-healing properties test platform is established
different temperatures are applied on the metallized film
the voltage and current waveform are measured by electrometric methods so to obtain self-healing voltage
self-healing current
self-healing duration and selfhealing energy. It is shown by the result that rise of temperature can make self-healing current
self-healing duration time and self-healing energy decrease.
