In this paper a special pulse capacitor unit used in small pulse power device is introduced.The miniaturization and lightness of the high voltage self-healing pulse capacitor are mainly considered and introduced from such two aspects as design

including product design scheme

processing and manufacturing of polypropylene metallized film

core design and product structure etc.The key problems and solutions of the capacitor in the development and manufacturing process are summarized and the capacitor prototype is examined and tested and the each items of test parameter reached the specified requirement.Meanwhile

the feasibility of miniaturization design and manufacturing technology of the capacitor is verified

which provided a new design idea for the miniaturization design of the high-voltage self-healing pulse capacitor.In particular

the single component can achieve DC withstand voltage up to 65 kV

which changes the traditional external series design method.
