Research on Influence of Impregnant and Compaction Coefficient on Electric Field Distribution at the End of Full Film Capacitor
The electric field distortion at the edge of an all-film capacitor is one of the important factors affecting the breakdown of capacitor elements. In order to study the influence of impregnant and compaction coefficient on the electric field distribution of all-film capacitor
the end of the capacitor is modeled. The electric field distribution at the end of the capacitor under different parameters is calculated by way of changing the impregnant and the compaction coefficient. The results show that
in case of unimpregnated condition
the maximum value of electric field is concentrated on both sides of the hemming. While
in case of impregnated condition
the field strength is more evenly distributed at the hemming arc. It is also found simultaneously that increasing the compaction coefficient K under the impregnated condition can significantly improve the electric field distribution at the end of the full-film capacitor.
