For the SVC intended to compensate the unsymmetry load
a new algorithm for obtaining the compensating admittance with the transient reactive power is presented in this paper. Hilbert filter is used to get a pair of orthogonal signals required in the calculation of transient reactive power. Moreover
the power balancing method is introduced into the control scheme to enable to control the power factor and unsymmetry degree after compensating. The correctness and feasibility of the proposed scheme are verified by simulation.
