Intelligent capacitor

as the reactive compensation device has found wide application

especially the low voltage intelligent capacitor with such feature as low cost

compact structure and easy local compensation has used widely in the low voltage distribution network.In the design of existing intelligent capacitors

it is generally necessary to set the slave’s communication address manually

therefore

the set work needs to be done at site

which brings inconvenience for the installation and

at the same time

after replacement of the faulty equipment

in case of forgetting or incorrectly setting the slave’ s communication address

the whole reactive power compensation system cannot work properly.In this paper

a kind of automatic address method based on RS485 communication is proposed and the automatic communication address setting of intelligent capacitor network can be achieved by adding one circuit normally closed relay in the design of the existing intelligent capacitor.The method is used in the network communication of intelligent capacitor

so to achieve fast network of automatic distribution communication address of the intelligent capacitor

reduce the installation difficulty at site

improve communication reliability and

at the same time

the effectiveness of the method is verified through the actual application in NR530 series products.
